Speedy Delivery

July 1, 2009
Today's comic is pretty much exactly how my wife and I have been describing the delivery of our latest child. I guess we each have our own perspectives on the exciting portions of the delivery. Really, though, the drive to the hospital is all I have to brag about. It's not like I did anything else other than take videos and pictures after he was out. And speaking of pictures, here's one of me with the newest little bundle.

Yep, he's already bored of me.

And now, an open note to all drivers. If you see a car speeding toward you from behind with hazard lights blinking, headlights flashing, and horn constantly blaring, it's just possible an emergency situation is occurring, and you should get out of the way. There's one main reason that I chose to do 90 on the shoulder of the highway. It's the only way that I was going to be able to get through traffic. I'm not even sure if I would have moved some traffic if I had an ambulance siren attached to my car.

Really people, is your commute that important and are you that wrapped up in your own life that you can't move over and clear a lane?

And, motorcycle guy that I was stuck behind for about 2 minutes when I didn't have a shoulder available, I nearly just pushed you out of the way. I have a little hatred still stuck in my heart for you. There's no possible way you couldn't see and hear me.

Now that I have that off my chest, both the Mom and the baby are doing fine. We all came home yesterday.

Welcome Baby!

There's a new addition to the Combs family. Josiah was born today at 8:13 am. If I had known he was coming today, I would have did a comic to celebrate.

Comic-Con!

June 17, 2009
This is it. The Big One. Tell your friends.

I'm taking the deep plunge this year and will be a guest at the San Diego Comic Con. I'll be sharing space with my friend Topher Davila and the rest of the TomatoTV crew at their booth. I'll post an actual booth number and more information about my actual con location when I have it.

I'm super excited to just to be able to attend the convention. Getting the ability to actually attend as a creator sweetens the pot even more. I'll be bringing plenty of sketch cards, minis, t-shirts, and more to sell at the con. I'm even going to actively seek out some commissions for the first time at a con. I've done them before, but it's usually people approaching me and asking. I'm going to try and actually bring some signage and see if I can actually get some con sketch work in since there are multiple days for me to work on art.

If you're attending the convention, and you are a reader of Business Casual, I'd love for you to stop by the booth and say, "Hello". One of the brightest highlights of a convention for me is to meet people that actually read the strip.
