It seems like for the last year, I'm continually working on projects that aren't defined until the last minute. I know that this must be expected at times when working on projects that have lots of complex steps. Sometimes, it takes a long time to hammer out all the details and have multiple people come to a conclusion. I get that. What I don't get is the expectation that developers will be able to deliver a quality product in a couple of weeks when the project was supposed to begin a couple of months ago.
Now, there's some part of me that gets a perverse high from the hectic pace that I'm thrown into at times. But there's only so much constant stress and deadlines that any programmer can take before they burn out. I don't know. Maybe I'm just spoiled...or tired...or maybe both.
